If I had a dollar for every scrapped blog I've ever had...oh boy...

But it's true. Starting a film blog is something I've attempted countless times. Each has failed: not because of lack of traction but rather my own laziness and negligence when it actually came to keeping up with them.  But this time, I'm deadass (or, at least, I'm gonna try to be).

My journey of writing about film began in 2017 when I started an Instagram account dedicated to movie reviews (@moviereviews2020_ if you're curious). Sure, I was only a casual moviegoer back then and my knowledge of film was minimal, but a 13-year-old wants to have fun, dammit! My first review ever was for Zootopia which, looking back, sounded the equivalent of how I'd tell my family my thoughts on a movie on the car ride home from the theater.

Since then, both my knowledge of film and my ability to write about movies has improved in spades. Through the likes of Twitter and Letterboxd, I've had the privilege of becoming well-versed in the larger film community and realizing that my passion truly lies there. Until I'm actually of age to pursue it, I'm going to channel that passion into this blog in the form of reviews, essays, news reports, and more. I hope you enjoy the combination of my rich film knowledge, my humor, and my pure passion that I put into every piece.
